3. Spike | The Wonderful Adventures of Spud & Spike!

3. Spike

A little bit about Spike

He was born in December 2010 after a 4 hour and 22 minute labour (a lot keener to enter the world than his brother was!)

He is my sensitive soul, he loves attention even if its just eye contact from across the room! He is also my culture shock – Spud was some sort of super baby that was as good as gold and slept through the night at 6 weeks old, we never had any problems and didn’t visit the Dr for an illness until he was 16 months old. There we were thinking “hey this is easy, lets do it again!”  Spike is a normal baby! He still doesn’t sleep through, he can be clingy, he has reflux, cradle cap, ezcema, constant colds and he had suspected Torticollis which turned out just to be the fact that his head was so big his body wasn’t able to support it yet!

Now we are fast approaching the age of 1 and he is really coming into his own. He has stopped looking like a clone of his brother and has started to develop his own cheeky little personality. He is constantly smiling and does heart melting giggles. He is now sitting, crawling and pulling himself up which has shocked Spud because now there is no escape!  He is a lot more cautious than his older brother and you can see his little mind taking things in and trying to decipher it is safe to attempt them.  They have started bickering and it is so funny to watch an 11 month throw himself to the floor hoping that Spud will get the blame.  He is going to be a corker of a toddler, he can already throw epic, floor thumping, head butting tantrums so the Hubby is hoping he puts my off having baby number 3!
