Spike is a HUGE fan of Jake and the Neverland Pirates. So much so when we put Peter Pan on the other day and he spent the whole film asking where Jake was and has decided that for his third birthday that he wants a Jake party. With this is mind we decided that during potty training, when he was having a lot of poo accidents, that if he ever did a poo on the toilet that he could choose a Jake and the Neverland Pirates toy that he had been eyeing up in Sainsburys.
The boys both love the Jim Henson’s Dinosaur Train and Spike can often be heard singing the theme tune. In our big parcel from TOMY he was thrilled to see three Interactive toys from the Dinosaur Train range.
Both Spud and Spike are HUGE Fireman Sam fans so they were thrilled to receive the new Fireman Sam – Drive and Steer Jupiter. Priced at £29.99 and suitable from 18 months Drive and Steer Jupiter is a wireless remote control fire engine that encourages hand-eye co-ordination, cause and effect and spatial awareness. You use the remote steering wheel like a real steering wheel and if you turn it left Jupiter turns left.
Spud and Spike are both HUGE train fans and love watching Chuggington on Cbeebies. They have a huge collection of the Die Cast trains and at one point had the track to go with it. Unfortunately it was too difficult for them to put together themselves and I wasn’t impressed with the quality of the connections. It ended up being put in a box under their bed and forgotten about in favour of wooden train track that they could just slot together and create their own masterpieces with. This was obviously a common problem because Tomy have now developed a much more toddler friendly track for their Chuggington range. It’s also much more parent friendly in that it no longer takes up a whole room when set up due to it’s ingenious stacking ability. Intrigued by this new information I knew I couldn’t turn Tomy down when they offered to send Spud and Spike some of the new playsets.
