If you ever ask Spud what he wants to eat you will always get the exact same answer – “Cheeeeeeese sannwish!”  So when we were asked if we would like to review the new look Mull of Kintyre Scottish Cheddar we couldn’t really say no.

“Award winning Mull of Kintyre Scottish Cheddar, is a premium Cheddar brand that has a rich, distinctive flavour and a bold new look to match. The new look range will be available in Sainsbury’s and Waitrose nationwide from October in Mature, Extra Mature, and Vintage.  Made to a long established recipe, Mull of Kintyre Scottish Cheddar uses only the milk from local dairy herds. Carefully crafted at the Campbeltown Creamery on the Kintyre Peninsula, which has been making Cheddar since 1923, it is nurtured by a dedicated and passionate team, both at the creamery and on the farm whose knowledge, commitment and years of experience make this rich and distinctive Cheddar.  Specialist cheese graders then go the extra mile to hand select only the highest quality Cheddar ensuring it is matured for just the right amount of time so it holds the perfect depth of flavour.”

Review – Lavazza A Modo Mio Piccina Espresso Machine

Every single time we go to town the Hubby insists on spending money on overpriced coffee at a well known coffee shop.  For months and months we have been searching for a coffee machine that will not only deliver excellent tasting coffee but also spare our wallets a bit!

When I got asked if we would like to review a Lavazza A Modo Mio Piccina Espresso Machine the Hubby was almost jumping for joy.  He was even more thrilled when it arrived with a sample kit containing all the different exquisite flavours that Lavazza have to offer.  We pulled the Lavazza A Modo Mio Piccina Espresso machine out of it’s box and were pleasantly surprised at how compact and good looking it is.  We we sent a very stylish white machine which would compliment any kitchen.  (It is also available in red or black.)  The Hubby got cracking straight away and went straight for the instructions.  They are extremely clear and easy to follow which made setting up the machine super easy.  It comes as a complete unit so there is no construction but it does require you to run the system before you make any coffee.  The sample pack also comes with a very detailed guide explaining each flavour.  My favourite of course had hints of chocolate and the Hubby was very partial to the caramel flavoured one.  There is also a decaf capsule which tastes no different to the the caffeinated capsule but is more suited to pregnancy and breastfeeding.

Review – Firefly Love Potion

With Valentines Day just around the corner the shops are filling up with hearts, glitter, teddies and all the other smooshy stuff associated with celebrating the lovey dovey day.  The Hubby and I aren’t really into Valentines Day.  I think he has been working every year since we met anyway so there was never any time to do anything.  As far as I see it we love each other every day and don’t need to celebrate one day a year just for the sake of it.  I tend to walk past all the red, glittery crap love tokens with my blinkers on so when a Love Potion email popped into my inbox I must admit I let out an almighty sigh.

After an inital browse I realised that it was actually for a yummy sounding, limited edition drink and just bit of fun.  I spent the next few days teasing the Hubby saying that a drink full of aphrodisiacs was winging it’s way to us and he eagerly awaited the postman!
