Spike is a HUGE fan of Jake and the Neverland Pirates. So much so when we put Peter Pan on the other day and he spent the whole film asking where Jake was and has decided that for his third birthday that he wants a Jake party. With this is mind we decided that during potty training, when he was having a lot of poo accidents, that if he ever did a poo on the toilet that he could choose a Jake and the Neverland Pirates toy that he had been eyeing up in Sainsburys.
As you can imagine both me and Spike were thrilled when Fisher Price asked us if we wanted to review a few toys from the Jake and the Neverland Pirates range. Luckily within a few days of them arriving Spike (finally!) did a poo on the toilet so I was able to hand them over to him.
We received Jake’s Musical Pirate Ship, Bucky (RRP £49.99) and the Deluxe Figure Adventure Pack (RRP £19.99) containing Jake, Hook, Smee, Sharky and Bones along with all of their accessories from the “Peter Pan Returns” feature-length episode of the Disney Junior program. Bucky has 25 phrases and a pirate adventure song as well as a working cannon that fires water ball projectiles. Tick Tock Croc can also be launched from a hidden trap door. It has wheels so can be rolled around and also rocks side to side to give the effect that it is sailing the seven seas.
Spike absolutely loves Bucky and the figure pack. He is just getting into imaginative play so it’s nice to watch him making up his own little stories and battles with Captain Hook. Both Bucky and the figures are well made and will withstand toddler playtime, we are so impressed that the Jake’s Magical Tiki Hideout and Skull Island Playset have already been purchased for Christmas.
