Review – Walkers Hoops and Crosses

I love surprise packages especially when they contain food.  Just as I was about to go out the Postman gave a knock and handed me a pretty funky box.  I opened it up and came face to face with Monty the Monkey and a packet of the brand new Walkers Hoops and Crosses.

As we were off out it was pretty easy to shoe the boys away from the bright, eye-catching packaging and stash them out of their view.  After a great day I barrelled them both into bed knowing exactly what was waiting for me.  Yes Hoops and Crosses were sent to me with the intention of using them as a lunch box snack but in all honesty if you send me one packet of crisps – I’m not going to share!

Walkers Hoops and Crosses are made from whole grains and have no artificial colours or preservatives.  So they will make a fab snack for the boys however at only 85 calories a bag they are a pretty appealing snack for me to!

We were sent the roast beef flavour and I devoured the whole packet without even blinking.  They were extremely tasty.  I accidentally left Monty the Monkey on the sofa that night after intending to put him aside for Dot.  Spike spotted him as soon as he got up and hasn’t let go of him since.  In fact just today there was a mad rush at Nursery when they couldn’t find him and I started to panic that bed time would be horrific without him!  Luckily Monty was just sitting happily on a shelf and is now tucked up in bed with Spike.

Walkers Hoops and Crosses come in three flavours; prawn cocktail, roast beef and salt and vinegar.  All three are suitable for vegetarians.
