Review – Next Homeware

I love the Next Home department.  I always go and have a browse when I’m in town even if I don’t check out the women’s and children’s clothes.  Every season there are lots of bits and pieces that I want to add to our house so I was absolutely delighted when Next asked me if I wanted to review for them.

Because we are in the process of making the boys shared bedroom nice I opted to choose items from their children’s bedroom range.  The boys already had a mini theme going on in the form of Fire Engines but it was only the duvet covers and toy box that matched.  When I saw Next’s Fire Engine furniture and Emergency vehicle range I knew that we could get some pieces to completely finish off the boy’s room.

We chose the Fire Engine Shade (£20) and the Interactive Felt Wall Hanging (£30.)

Our order was placed and less than 24 hours later the Next delivery man knocked on our door.  The boys were ecstatic when they saw them and both immediately set about playing with the wall hanging.

The Fire Engine Shade came assembled bar the ladder and was extremely easy to put up.  The ladder just hooks onto the light cable.  It’s brilliant quality and appear to be very sturdy which is needed in their bedroom now that they have bunks and it’s within reach.

The Interactive Felt Wall Hanging also came fully assembled and it hosts 13 movable characters that are secured using Velcro.  I had initially been a little bit put off by the price when I saw it but the quality is outstanding.  I can really see why It holds a £30 price tag.

The boys bedroom is looking fab and both of them absolutely love it.  The wall hanging gets played with every day and I can quite often hear them using their imagination and making up emergency themed stories.
