Review – Ideal Cases

Written by Lauren on. Posted in Gift Ideas, Reviews

I have never had much luck with smart phones.  I get a new one and within a week will have smashed the screen.  I decided that perhaps it was just how fragile iPhone’s were so opted for a Samsung Galaxy S3 when my upgrade was due.  I knew I had to get a case but I just couldn’t find one that I loved and didn’t want to waste money.  The inevitable happened and the phone jumped out of my pocket and landed screen down on my concrete driveway.

When the opportunity arose to review for Ideal Cases I jumped at the chance with the intention to get a case for my Kindle Fire HD.  I popped onto their website which is very easy to navigate and clearly marks what you have to do and how you have to do it.  I went into the Kindle section but sadly, at the moment, they don’t offer a case for the Fire.  I had a mooch around expecting to have to design one for the Hubby but found their Samsung section.

There are so many choices to truly customise a case to your own personal tastes.  I started by choosing what type of case I wanted.  I could have had clip on plastic, slip on plastic, clip on rubber and flip front rubber.  I opted for the rubber flip case so that I had something covering my screen at all times in the hope that when I replace my phone I don’t instantly break the new one!

I then had a choice between uploading photos into a grid, designing my own from scratch or using fan art.  I really liked that you could upload photos onto the case from different social media platforms because all of my photos are either on Facebook or my external drive which isn’t actually set up at the moment.  I had a play around with lots of different layouts and it was quite fun but I did get frustrated that it wasn’t that easy to change photographs around.  In the end I opted for one big photo on the back.  I was able to place the order without registering on the website which is always a HUGE plus for me, especially when trying a company out for the first time.

I placed the order on Sunday and on Tuesday my case landed on my door mat.  The quality is absolutely fantastic for the price and I love the picture.  I would have liked to have personalised the front of the flip case as well because it’s a bit plain for my liking so maybe that is something they might introduce at a later date.

Ideal Cases offer a vast range of cases for many devices including the Apple products at really affordable prices for the quality and level of personalisation you get.  I kept mine really plain but I could have added text, backgrounds, graphics or more photos to really make it mine.  The case fits my phone like a glove which is often a rarity with products that are a different brand to the phone.  Living in the South West I often hear the phrase “that’s ideal that is” and I can say it definitely applies to Ideal Cases!
