Review – My 1st JCB On Site Loader and On Site Accessory Set

If there is one thing that excites Spud more than Fire Engines it’s a digger.  We hear squeals every time he sees something remotely related to a construction vehicle so we knew the My 1st JCB On Site Loader Play set would go down a treat.  My 1st JCB also sent us the On Site Team Accessory set to prevent any arguments between the Boys!

The On Site Loader Play set contains the ramp, two rocks, Doug the Dump truck and a foreman.  It’s a lovely starter set that is completely compatible with the other My 1st JCB play sets and accessories.  The On Site Team Accessory Pack contains a foreman, Dan Dozer, Marty Mixer and everything else needed for a day at the construction site including signs, barriers and things to load on the vehicles to get little imaginations running wild.

When they saw the boxes both of them were delighted and we set to work putting it together.  Luckily it was extremely easy and I was impressed that the plastic was all big and chunky so no chance of any small bits snapping off.  There were a few stickers to put on which I had to do incognito because at the moment if Spud thinks something is a sticker he tries to unstick it!

Within about 5 minutes everything was set up and ready to go and both boys got to work.  It’s not often they play together nicely with the same toy but they sat nicely together sharing for ages.  This made it an instant hit with me!

Because of how easy it was to put together it made it extremely easy to store in Spud’s bedroom.  He can take it out and put it back together himself and if they get too rough with it the chunky plastic means it can bounce as we found when Spike launched it at Spud’s head mid tantrum.  Even though the plastic is chunky and sturdy it’s still lightweight and didn’t hurt Spud which was a bonus!

Overall the My 1st JCB On Site Loader play set (RRP £19.99) and the On Site Team Accessory set (RRP £14.99) have been a hit in this household and are played with daily by both boys.  They are both good value for money and because both Boys still play nicely together with them I’m definitely going to be getting them the Charlie Crane Play set to go with it!
