Review – Guylian Luxury Easter Egg

Written by Lauren on. Posted in Food & Drink, Reviews

We all know my love of chocolate.  Eating chocolate is at the top of my favourite things to do.  My Chocoholic Slimpod from Thinking Slimmer curbed the addiction and I eat far less but I appreciate it far more.  When I was asked the review the Guylian Luxury Easter Egg I didn’t have to think twice about my answer!

When it arrived I was extremely surprised.  I expected a teeny little egg with a sample sized box of chocolates but in reality it was a standard sized egg and full sized box of their Luxury Belgium Chocolate Collection.  It was in a lovely gift bag type packaging so would make the perfect gift at Easter.

Guylian are famous for their delicious Belgium chocolates and hazelnut praline filling.  Their chocolates are made using the finest ingredients and are shaped like shells and seahorses using a recipe from the fifties where fresh roasted hazelnuts are caramelised in copper kettles by Belgian Pralineurs.  The effort put in to making each chocolate certainly shows through the flavour.  They are unbelievably moreish and melt in your mouth for an excellent chocolate experience.  The Guylian Luxury Easter Egg was divine.  The Egg itself was demolished within a few hours but I was a nice enough wife to share the box of chocolates with the Hubby.  Usually I like to mix it up a little bit with boxes of chocolates but Guylian chocolates are all the same flavour.  The flawless finish to each chocolate just oozed quality and sometimes they looked too good to eat.

I would definitely recommend the Guylian Luxury Easter Egg as a gift this Easter.  At only £10.99 it is fantastic quality for money and will make anyone extremely happy!
