A few days ago for Project 366 I blogged about the secret lake that we found behind our house. Our back garden goes out into some woods and we have walked through them numerous times since we moved here 18 months ago but always stopped when they appeared to end and become more houses. We ventured a bit further and discovered the secret lake. Well today it was lovely and sunny and Spike woke up after only an hours nap in a foul mood. Rather than hang around the house tearing my hair out because of my whinging baby we decided to go for a walk back to the secret lake to feed some ducks.

I ran out of bread. The Swan wasn’t happy. It growled. I papped myself.

We absolutely love wooden toys in this house and John Crane is high on our list of places to search for Birthday and Christmas presents. We were delighted to be offered a limited edition print from their new illustrator Emma Talbot.

This gorgeous print will look fantastic in our playroom once I’ve got a frame for it and the best bit is Emma will be working closely with John Crane to create and design new products for the Tildo Timeless Toys range!

I want to say Spring has Sprung but the weather is extremely tempremental down here so one day we have sun and hope and the next it’s freezing cold and piddling it down with rain.
The hanging basket outside that was planted before we moved in has the right idea though!

When Spud had his bike accident a few weeks ago I realised just how badly fitted his bike helmet was. He had just a standard shaped helmet but with his head being 52cm he was too big for toddler helmets and at the lower end of the measurements of a child’s helmet. We tried everything to get a good fit but it always slipped backwards exposing his forehead. When he had the crash his helmet did protect his head from the impact but he ended up with cuts and grazes all up one side of his face and head.
