“Deck the halls with boughs of Holly Fa la la la la, la la la la”
Decorating the house is paramount to creating the perfect Christmas atmosphere, here are some fab ideas for creating your own Winter Wonderland.
B&Q have some gorgeous decorations in stock this year with a fab offer! It is 3 for 2 mix and match on all Christmas tree decorations so you can create the perfect look and save money at the same time. Simply reserve 3 things online and then pay for 2 when you collect them from the store. Their website has some of the range and even sections on how to create the looks on the website.
Spud and I popped into The Range last week for some crafty bits and walking through the door felt like we were walking into Lapland. They have some amazing displays in store and lots and lots of fab deals to be had. There were giant fabric advent calenders for as little as £1.99 and we found a fab electronic train set that goes around the bottom of the Christmas tree for only £24.99! They have wonderful inside decorations to suit every budget but also a huge selection of outdoor lights like the reindeer and sleigh pictured which retails for £34.99.
Poundland impressed me with their Secret Santa gifts but not as much as with their decorations! For people on a smaller budget they have some fab decorations that look good for only £1! This year we are away over Christmas so spending hundreds on decorations will be a waste. Spending a quid on each one will get this kids excited about the impending day without having to break our bank! I love these wooden drawstring characters that can be used as a room decoration or on the tree and will amuse my boys no end! The price also means that I don’t have to be too precious about the decorations with two inquisitive toddlers around!
For something a bit different this year you can “deck the halls with boughs of Bolly!” There Bollywood inspired Christmas decorations add a little big of bling to Christmas but remain stylish and affordable. Bollywood Christmas was established 6 years ago after Jo Fallon visited India and came home with some decorations that were admired by her friends. Every decoration is hand made to the finest quality in India. Their website has some gorgeous products and you can search using your colour theme to suit your needs. This pack of 3 decorations is only £3.95 so Bollywood Christmas offer great value for money.
The Supermarkets really have outdone themselves this year. All of them have asiles of brilliant, affordable decorations that are fab quality. Asda are my favourite because they always seem to have more online and the website is dead easy to navigate and detailed enough to see/know what you are buying. You can buy a 40 piece matt, shiny & glitter finish Baubles pack for only £5! The beauty of it all is that if you see things that you love on Asda’s website, but don’t want to pay for postage (a big bugbear of mine!) you can order them and pick them up from your local store for free!Breeze offer some gorgeous decorations for Christmas. They are a little bit pricier but you can see from the quality that they are worth it. They aren’t decorations that will need replacing on a yearly basis. A tree decoration retails for about £2.50 and they have a stunning collection. My favourite though is the “make you own Scandinavian decoration” kits. The picture shows the 6 that are on offer and they are £5.50 each. Each kit contains everything you need to make you own decoration and I know that Spud would love to help me make one of these and it will add a personal touch to your own Winter Wonderland.
