On the 11th Day of Christmas Spud & Spike gave to me……….CHOCOLATE GIFT IDEAS!

Written by Lauren on. Posted in 12 Days of Christmas

We all know about my Chocolate addiction and how Thinking Slimmer cured me with their marvelous Slimpods.  Now that I can eat chocolate and actually enjoy it I have had great fun compiling this guide for you!

The Green and Black’s tasting collection is perfect for a gift or to take to a dinner party over the holiday season.  The gift set contains a 24 miniature bars of Green and Black’s signature flavours, as well as tasting note cards featuring interesting facts, recipe suggestions and flavour combination ideas.  The gift set also includes a map showing the origins of the bars’ different organic ingredients, making it a great conversation piece and allowing you to taste your way ‘Around the World.’  With an RRP of £10.49 for 24 miniature bars and one 35g bar of the famous 70% Dark chocolate it is excellent value for money.

For a smaller gift or a stocking filler look no further than Fudges Stem Ginger biscuits.  Each biscuit has been hand dipped in gorgeous dark Belgium chocolate making the taste absolutely divine.  Fudges are an award winning family company based in Dorset where each ingredient is hand picked for it’s quality and flavour creating extremely tasty sweet and savoury snacks.  The love and care that goes into each biscuit isn’t reflected in their low prices.  A box of Fudges Stem Ginger biscuits retail for £2.29 in Waitrose, Asda, Tesco, Booths, Delis and Farm Shops.

My Facebook followers will all have seen the excitement the day that the Chocolate Pizza arrived from Prezzy Box.  I had never seen anything like it before and my gosh it tastes as good as it looks!  It has to be the best chocolate that I have ever tasted!  I was sent the Crunchy Munchy 7″ which consists of a Belgium milk chocolate pizza base with vanilla fudge, white and milk chocolate coated honeycomb balls and milk chocolate curls for the toppings.  With an RRP of £12.95 and various ones to choose from they make fantastic gifts.  Be sure to keep you eyes peeled for your chance to win your very own Chocolate Pizza!

Hotel Chocolat is one of my favourite shops.  Unfortunately the Hubby has banned me from going near it as I always come out laden with bags and bags of scrummy chocolate!  Their Christmas selection this year is fantastic with Advent calenders, gift sets and this fab Christmas Stocking.  With an RRP of £22 this Christmas Stocking isn’t the cheapest of Chocolatey gifts however you really can’t put a price on the Hotel Chocolat flavours.  They are truly scrumptious and one of the finest quality chocolatiers that I have tasted products from.  Keep a look out for a full review of the Hotel Chocolat Christmas stocking before this month is out.

Unique Boutique offer a huge variety of food gifts from luxury hampers to gourmet treats.  We adored these Sea salt wafers which offer a great combination of sweet and savoury in one delightful mouthful.  They are made with chocolate from Rococo and Halen Mon Anglesey sea salt and really do melt in your mouth.  They are a perfect gift and could even be used as a stocking filler.  With an RRP of £12.50 they are for someone that really appreciates flavours rather than someone that is happy to scoff chocolate for the sake of it! *Cough* my former self *Cough*

Choconchoc are another company that specialise in handmade chocolate gifts.  This little selection box is hand made from white and Belgium milk chocolate and dusted with edible glitter for that extra Christmassy feel.  It was extremely yummy and between us the Hubby and I polished it off within 2 days.  It was just so moreish!  With an RRP of £12 an lovely gift style packaging it is excellent value for money if you are after a chocolate gift this year!

If Chocolate isn’t your thing or you think that someone would prefer you to ‘bring a bottle’ this year then Codorníu offer some fantastic wines.  Pictured are the Codorníu Reina Maria Cristina 2008 Blanc de Noirs and Codorníu Selección Raventós.  Both are highly rated Spanish Cava’s and you could even indulge in a fantastic Spanish tradition by eating a grape and washing it down with every chime of the clock at Midnight on New Year’s Eve.  Both of these Spanish Cava’s will go down a treat with Turkey this year due to their intense fruity flavours and delicate, refreshing taste.  Codorníu also offer a stunning range of award winning Red wines.
