Review – Fancy Dress Outfitters

With Halloween just around the corner we were delighted to be able to chose two costumes to review for Fancy Dress Outfitters.  This is Spud’s 3rd Halloween but we have never dressed him up.  This year he is having a Halloween Party so we went on the hunt for the perfect outfit.  Fancy Dress Outfitters offer a wide range of costumes for all occasions.  They have a great selection for any party be it Halloween, Christmas, themed or a hen/stag event they will have something for you, including all the accessories that you would need to finish the outfit off.

We had a good look at the website and found the spooky Halloween section with a lot of outfits suitable for the Boys.  Spud settled on a Monster costume and helped to choose a Crazy Spider outfit for Spike.  The next day a parcel arrived and I was pleasantly surprised to find their outfits in side.  I was extremely impressed by the service we received and speed of the delivery.  Straight away Spud wanted to dress up as a Monster and started practicing his “Roars.”

The Monster outfit retails at £17.77 and came with trousers, a top, a jacket, a hat and shoe covers – everything he needs to look like the perfect monster.  We ordered it in the  3-4 years size and even though he is really tall he has plenty of room.  The Hubby and I did have a good giggle at him dressed up, he looked far too cute to be a scary monster!  Once he was dressed he insisted that Spike join in on the action, probably to divert our giggles elsewhere!

The Crazy Spider outfit retails at £13.09 and is actually a tabard with a hood.  When placing an order you need to make sure that you read the description properly as the pictures can be quite misleading.  To create the look from the picture I would need to team the tabard with a long sleeved black top and trousers that aren’t supplied.  We ordered it in the 1-2 years size even though Spike is only 10 months because he is quite a large baby.  It fits him nicely and I think any smaller and it wouldn’t have fitted around his little belly!  Unfortunately Spike isn’t a hood loving baby so we had to leave it down to stop him from wrestling with it.

Both costumes were well made and a good quality for a costume.  They aren’t the same quality that you would expect from ordinary clothing but for their low prices they are perfect, after all they are only usually worn once.  Fancy Dress Outfitters have 5 different postage options to ensure that you get your costume in time and have special offers on certain order amounts.  They are great value for money and I certainly know where I will be going for the boys Christmas outfits!
