We have been staying with Nana and Pops since last Thursday which has greatly pleased both boys. They are loving all of the attention and sly treats behind Mummy’s back. On Friday Spike and I popped over to London for the Baby Show at Earls Court whilst Spud had a day with his Daddy and Pops. On Saturday the hubby, the boys and I went to see the other side of the family as well as ours friends Phill and Paula (from Mummy Vs Work.) Spud and Kayleigh get on really well and it’s lovely to see them play together.

Spud and Spike’s Top Products from The Baby Show!
Well to be honest it’s more Mummy’s top products because Spud stayed at home and had a boy’s day with Daddy and Pops and Spike slept the whole time. There was me thinking Spikey could use his baby charms to break the ice but nope he decided to catch up on some much needed sleep.

Back in the 1960′s the Jolly Green Giant landed in the UK with a mission to get children and their parents eating 5-a-day. They are most famous for their sweetcorn and I challenge you to find someone that doesn’t know the “Ho Ho Ho Green Giant” slogan. They do a range of sweetcorn products including; Original, Baby Cobs, No Added Salt, With Peppers, Salad Crisp, Organic and Cream Corn Soup. Did you also know that they do both Green and White Asparagus, Hearts of Palm and Artichoke Hearts? Sweetcorn is probably the most adaptable vegetable, it can be eaten hot or cold and with or in a variety of food. At less than 75 calories per portion and only 80g (3 heaped spoonfuls) being 1 of your 5 a day they are a fab snack or addition to any meal. In this house we must eat Sweetcorn 3 or 4 times a week because it is a firm favourite with us all.

Spud has always had a huge love for ride on toys. At 7 months old he had mastered the typical baby ride on and soon progressed to bigger things. We are currently at a really odd stage where ride on toys are too small for his long legs but his legs are too short to reach the peddles of his trike. With this dilemma preventing him from having speed demon fun whilst playing outside Mookie kindly offered to let him review the Mookie Mini Street Cruz.
