Review – Plum Breakfast Pouch

Written by Lauren on. Posted in Food & Drink, Reviews

We were asked by Mummyz wordz to review the new Plum breakfast pouch.  We received the prune, peach and baby rice breakfast.  It is the first breakfast pouch that is dairy and gluten free so suitable from 4 months and during early weaning.   The flavour didn’t appeal to me whatsoever but thought I would give it a whirl after all it wasn’t my opinion that was needed.  They are made from 100% organic ingredients and full of complex carbohydrates that leave babies fuller for longer.  They contain no added salt, sugar, additives, artificial flavourings or colours.

Spike loves food.  He grabs at his bowl and gets super excited at meal times.  Sometimes he acts like he is never fed when I’m being too slow with his food.  Except that is at breakfast time.  We have struggled to find anything suitable for breakfast that he will actually eat.  We offered it to him for breakfast and I have never seen him eat so fast.  He absolutely loved the flavour.  I had heard that it was really runny but found that it was a really good consistency and we didn’t lose any off the spoon or make a mess.

The pouch is absolutely brilliant for mess free ,convenient feeding.  I simply squeeze the contents onto a spoon so there is no messy bowl  which is excellent when on the go.  However we don’t do many breakfasts on the go so I am simply saving on washing up!

They are slightly more expensive than the breakfast alternatives but they are organic which always adds to the cost.  These were a huge hit in our house and the knowledge that they are 100% organic and have no added nasties makes the slightly more expensive price tag worthwhile.

I did not receive any financial reward for writing this review. However, we did receive the product for review purposes. This post is my own honest opinion. For more information please see our Disclosure Policy.
