Review – Nûby First Cup

Written by Lauren on. Posted in Baby Products, Reviews

Nûby very kindly sent Spike their First Cup (6 months+) to test out.  Like all Nûby cups it is BPA free and has Touch Flo™ technology which activates as soon as the cup is put into a mouth.  It makes the cup non spill but also easy to operate and encourages the natural drinking action and healthy oral development.  Combining the Touch Flo™ technology with a silicone spout is very good for initial beaker drinking.  There isn’t that much difference to using a bottle as there is no valve to activate and the silicone feels similar to a teat.  The cup has detachable handles and is also shaped for little hands so you have the choice of the two types of hold depending on your child. We received a lovely Blue coloured First Cup with a train on which was a huge hit with Spud and he was excited to give Spike a drink.  He found the handles very easy to hold and instantly put the spout to his mouth.  He is still learning how to use cups and this was one of the first that we have tried that he has managed to actually get some fluid out of. It holds 8oz/240ml so the same size as a standard baby bottle, making it easy to judge how much a baby is drinking. As a first cup used for the initial introduction to beakers it is an extremely good product.  It is easy to use and the use of the Touch Flo™ technology enables babies to control the fluid output rather than splutter from the fluid in a free flow sippy cup.  At only £3.99 it is great value for money
I did not receive any financial reward for writing this review. However, we did receive the product for review purposes. This post is my own honest opinion. For more information please see our Disclosure Policy.
