Hitachi Touro Pro – The ET Event!

Written by Lauren on. Posted in Days Out & Events, General, Reviews

On Thursday 28th July Hitachi launched the Touro Pro . To celebrate Hitachi invited us to The Soho Hotel for a cinema screening of the classic film E.T and an “out of this world” buffet. They put on a huge spread of radioactive beefburgers, E.T cupcakes and Flying Saucers. For children they invited The Science Boffins and a face painter from Bedazzled Parties. I had chosen not to take Spud and Spike as I decided that E.T probably wasn’t suitable for them and quite fancied enjoying it myself!  I was fortunate enough to meet Katy, another mummy blogger who writes Modern Mummy, and her gorgeous daughter.  After an hour of watching Science experiments and hovering over the food table we were invited into the huge cinema screening room that had the comfiest chairs that I have ever sat on!

I haven’t seen E.T since I was a child and even though I remember watching it and I know the plot it was a whole new experience for me watching it as a 24 year old. There was a lot of minor things that made the film amazing that I hadn’t even realised had happened when I was a naive 8 year old!

After the film had finished (yes I cried…..a lot!) we went back to the main room to be greeted with a goody bag including our very own Hitachi Touro Mobile Pro.  As an extra touch the professional photographer that had been in attendance had put all of the photos of the day onto it for us to take home.

The Touro Pro is an external memory drive that offers two layers of data protection. Every time you upload data it automatically uploads it to the Cloud as well. You can then access this data anywhere, anytime with an Internet connection. You can also give a web link to friends and family for them to be able to view the data available.  The Touro Pro comes in a mobile and a desk version ranging from 500GB to 3TB of space.  You also receive 3GB of Cloud space for free with each product which can be upgraded up to 250GB with a paid account

This is an absolutely fab product for me because I am constantly switching between computers and often end up with copies of the same files on every one  and it drives the Hubby crazy.  It is extremly easy to use and the Cloud aspect gives extra piece of mind that your data is safe even if something were to happen to the drive.  Thank you Hitachi for a great day and a brilliant product!

I did not receive any financial reward for writing this review. However, we did receive the product for review purposes. This post is my own honest opinion. For more information please see our Disclosure Policy.
